NVQ LEVEL 3 HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE
This award builds on the skills acquired from Level 2 and is assessed on the delivery of health and social care to clients. It includes both direct care (where the focus is hands-on care) and enablement care (where the focus is on the development and maintenance of the client’s independence).
Mandatory Units
- Promote people’s equality, diversity and rights
- Promote effective communication and relationships
- Promote monitor and maintain health, safety and security in the workplace
- Develop one’s own knowledge and practice
- Contribute to the protection of individuals from abuse

Who is it for?
This award is designed to be applicable to staff who deliver physical, emotional, or enabling care to clients; whether they work in health or social care, in the public, private or voluntary sectors. Candidates will usually be delivering care in support of, and under the direction of, a colleague who is accountable in the area of practice.
Prerequisites:-
None other than the following levels of proficiency in the English language
- IELTS 5.5
- TOEFL 550 (TOEIC 776)
- GCSE/ ‘O’ Level or its International Equivalent

NVQ (Health and Social Care) Level 3
Mode of Assessment
Assessment is flexible and is based on what you can do. You will be asked to show that you are competent by providing evidence that:
- You can perform the task consistently to the required standard
- You understand why you are doing things (knowledge and understanding)
- You can apply the skills in different situations (range).
