ASSOCciation of CHARTERED CERTIFIED accountants (ACCA)
The ACCA course is a continuous course leading to a professional qualification and consists of 4 parts, i.e. Knowledge, Skills, Essentials and Optional with examinations in June and December every year. These examinations are equivalent to an Honours Degree. In order to be ACCA qualified, students need to successfully complete each level of the ACCA programme. An average student is expected to take about 3-4 years to be fully qualified. The ACCA qualification is recognized worldwide and enables a graduate to start at the Middle Management level in Accountancy.

Prerequisites

Must be 18 years of age or over and hold the minimum entry requirements of 2 ‘A’ Levels and 3 GCSEs; OR

BTEC National Certificate/Diploma, NVQ Level 3 and Advanced GNVQ·

If you do not have the above minimum qualifications and are 21 years of age or over, you can apply under the Mature Students Entry Route (MSER)

Qualification Awarded
When qualified you will become a member of ACCA. Students who have completed part 2 may opt to obtain an Oxford Brookes first degree.
